I think you are saying the same thing in a different manner. The other two lobes being the “legs” at the bottom. Looking at pictures of sugar maple leaves, both descriptions fit to me.

Yep, John Hersey’s “Hiroshima” scarred me for life (as well it should have) when I read it in 5th grade, especially as a Japanese American whose grandfathers fought on each side of the war.

There have been times in my life when I would have fled, and times in my life when I would have fought. Never for the idea of country, but certainly for the people in the country. There was a study a while ago what showed money correlated well with happiness until about 100k/yr of income in the US, at which point it flatlined. I can’t remember how long ago this was and inflation would certainly make that number high today, but it made sense other than that even at the time I thought 100k was a but low for the flatline, but I’ve lived in some of the most expensive areas of the US and in Japan through my life, so I’m sure my experiences are a very skewed.

I almost bought an electric vehicle recently, but ended up getting one last stick car. I will be buying electric, but I will hate giving up my manual transmission.

Hey, this is me right now, though my wife found him before she left… I kinda felt from the beginning that she wouldn’t be able to spend the rest of her life with a woman, probably should have paid more attention to that feeling.
