They’re probably talking about their experience on their hardware, we don’t know what machine or what version of Firefox they’re talking about. (It’s possible it’s a really old version and not really relevant now or it’s possible their experience is valid for their hardware)

I don’t think it was a pure accident as some non-accessible designs would still be possible with those limitations. IIRC scroll bars were taken from the OS back then, so if the OS didn’t have accessible design, it wouldn’t be a thing for the websites either.

I think a pin like that is harder to remember for people, and even to get it using fingerprints is difficult because you cover a lot of the numbers giving false information
