I just barely had to go get a new phone because my Note20 broke. Was hoping they’d have another in stock but of course not. That’s waaaaaay to outdated 🙄 so I got the s23 or whatever. We moved all my data from my old phone to my new one. Once it updated everything I had 12 “new” apps and games installed. Wtf. Deleted most, but some are so damn hidden and protected. Samsung truly makes you know you don’t own your own device.

It depends on what you use it for yes, but I’ve been able to sync it between devices using onedrive or google drive. You could also set a local FTP or SSH where you keep the master file then connect each device to it. I understand your point that you may want an app that just does that for you, all I’m saying is this is an option that I like using.

My goto is KeePass. Does everything I need. I like the use of hotkeys and the ability to have complete control over how the autotype works. Plus if you have a fingerprint scanner (phone or laptop or something) you can use autotype with that too. And the program is completely free.

Hm, doesn’t seem like it works for me. Still says that the Folder is locked for my privacy and protection or whatever. Thanks for the trying tho

I’m glad Lj took the Sync for R***** apps off the app store. The only way I would use R***** is through Sync, and I Do Not want to use R***** any more. He’s coming out with a Sync for Lemmy so keep your eyes out. You can sign up for a mailing list to be notified when it does release.

Actually you may not be too far off. Noticed recently that users don’t have access to their Android>OBB or Data folders anymore through the normal files app. I know there is a workaround but I haven’t been able to get it to work. This may not affect downloading/installing apk’s from other sources, but if you have to manually install the OBB/Data you cannot do that.

This is why I have 4 different apps to surf Lemmy. When one app is acting up I just switch to another. For example I was just barely scrolling in Jerboa but getting a bunch of network errors so I switched to Connect which is where I’m posting this comment. I’m totally down with being patient with Lemmy for the time being. Anything to get away from R*****

Find the Lemmy user “mizu”. They’ve been posting things about needing to hold in their poo for several days and it’s become a huge meme on Lemmy. Still not sure they are serious or if it’s performance art

Been there before. We recently had a semi truck tip and spill thousands of frozen French fries across all lanes of the highway. They closed it completely down for hours. People were literally reversing on the highway to back up to the nearest exit. It was terrible
