Gaza was given to Arabs for self rule and determination in 2005, all Jews left Gaza, even Jewish graveyards were dug up and moved, it was theirs to do with as they liked.

They were given Gaza to live in freedom and self determination, they used it to kill Jews. They were warned. They chose to ignore the warnings.

These acts of terrorism were perpetrated by the entire Gazan community, they voted for Hamas, and allowed Hamas to rule their government for the last 17 years, Hamas and all the other Islamic terrorists in Gaza are not outsiders, they were born in Gaza of Gazans, they were raised in Gaza, they were educated in Gaza, they married and had children of their own in Gaza, their Parents, teachers, mosques, hospitals, are all in Gaza, from which they use to hid and store weapons to attack Jews, Hamas, PIJ and all the other Islamic terrorist in Gaza ARE Gaza, there has been no uprising in Gaza, there have only been attacks on Israel. This is what Gazans have supported and sacrificed for in every way they possibly could.

I’d suggest Mastodon to anyone looking for a new social media platform to join, but I can’t suggest Lemmy/KBIN as they don’t have legitimate blocking in place, as theirs is simply the same bullshit Reddit like “masking” where you can no longer see who you blocked, but they can still see, and reply to whatever it is you post, which of course is rife from abuse from the people you want to distance yourself the most from. Until there’s legitimate, you no longer exist, blocking on Lemmy/KBIN I would suggest anyone else use them. (to say nothing of all the errors in KBIN from notifications, to blocking, to posting, to seeing comments, the list stretches endlessly)

the weight doesn’t change all that much post freeze, and the ease of having readily available frozen rice i can leave in the fridge to thaw overnight for the next days meal, beats having to use (and clean) the rice cooker or ip each time. it works for me, and feels like i’m cheating in how simple it is. one rice cook sets me up for a couple weeks of meals that i use rice with.

Here are my findings for both, which are interesting, if you’re counting calories and on a diet:

Cooking for consistency, initial consistency of rice cooked in Instant Pot is better, but yields much less rice, Rice Cooker yields almost 25% more rice per oz of dry rice.

1280 calories for 2 cups of uncooked white rice + 4 cups of water. Rice Cooker White Rice recipe yields 48oz of white rice .
1280 calories for 2 cups of uncooked white rice + 2.25 cups of water. IP White Rice recipe yields 32oz of white rice.

Now, of course I used less water in the IP than I did in the rice cooker, but it’s the consistency of the rice I was testing.

I’ve also found if I cook a big batch in the rice cooker, and it’s gloopy, I freeze it in individual sized meal weights of 8 oz, and when it defrosts, I can break it up in the plastic bag with my fingers, put it in the microwave for 3 minutes at 50% and it’s perfect.

I used to never wash my rice, but did notice the rice sludge in the rice cooker so figured, why not, let’s wash it, and no more sludge, go figure. I even bought one of those two piece rice washing bowls from amazon which makes it so much easier. I’m a rice washing convert. Also, rice cookers are the greatest invention since sliced bread.

KBIN has had it’s issues, most noticeably, I haven’t been able to access any of my notifications for about 3 months now at all and every time I click on the notifications number to check it throws up the “were working on it” error page, attempts to block users from certain instances doesn’t work and throws up the error “we’re working on it page”, and you can’t seem to block entire instances from KBIN without it seemingly unrelatedly weirdly losing the ability to see comments in disparate random posts (all known issues) … other than that I’m perfectly happy on KBIN
