Poor countries, such as the countries people are immigrating from, have a more terrible environment and higher birth-rates.

I’ve never used it, but the idea is that nutrient uptake will be faster than if someone just dressed the top of the soil with compost. The extra aerobic bacteria could also be beneficial.
Decarboxylation happens when heat is applied (smoking or vaping, for example), turning THCA into delta-9 THC.
Delta-9 gummies are the real-deal. I can’t tell the difference between THCA flower and regular flower (I’m pretty sure it’s just uncured bud). They also make THCA concentrates.
AfD is far right. They are ethno-nationalists that believe only ethnic-Germans belong in Germany. A leader has defended the Nazi SS. They have discussed re-migrating German citizens out of Germany. How do you compromise with people who would like to carry out an ethnic cleansing? Only forcibly relocate Muslims for now, and wait until next year to expel the Jewry?
Most far-right politicians do not debate or operate politically in good-faith. IDK about the people who vote for them. I think it usually takes years of slow progress for people to move away from extremist positions, and it takes a change in their environment to start the process (new social circle, life experiences, media consumption habits, etc).
I’ve never heard of or had a HVAC “tune-up.” If it’s a standard air-to-air heat pump, you likely do not need one. You just need to change or clean the filters regularly, and maybe clean the coils once a year at most. I’m guessing that’s what the mean by “tune-up?” Modern cars do not need “tune-ups” either.
IDK. Nuclear looks like it kinda sucks.
There’s this map: https://liveuamap.com/
I haven’t been following the war very closely, but AFAIK, they’ve been in a stalemate for many months with neither side making any significant gains.
I hoping the OP means the state of Israel “has to go,” and not necessarily the population. I.e. a “one-state solution.”
I’ve worked for a few small business tyrants that did horrible things as well. It’s more of a system issue. Billionaires do the most damage of any individuals, but I think it would be pretty similar if CEOs made small amounts of money (the corporations themselves often lobby for their interests), or if there were only small businesses (they’d probably just form national organizations to lobby for their shared interests).
Those in poverty usually have more children. Woman having more rights and joining the workforce is probably a major cause; which is probably why there’s all this money backing taking away women’s rights recently. Another major cause is likely isolation and lack of community in modern life (“it takes a village…”).
I doubt that. Current conventional food production is highly fossil fuel dependant (everything from fertilizer to processing to transport). Earth’s ariable land and top soil is decreasing quickly. Ecosystems are collapsing from the effects of agriculture and climate change. Most “advances” require more inputs and energy, which means more fossil fuel use, further accelerating resource degredation and climate change. I forget the statistic, but humans already control a significant proportion of Earth’s biomass. This chart from https://www.greenpeace.org/international/story/17788/how-much-of-earths-biomass-is-affected-by-humans/ might be what I was thinking of:
On the left, it’s due to intersectionality. And that the attacks against trans people is part of a broader attack from the christofascists to create outgroups and use hate and fear to obtain power (very similar to what the Nazis did with “degenerates” and jews). “First they came for…” and all that.
It just incentivizes being an asshole. Assholes give zero tips and get to keep more of their money, while normal people have to pay the empathy tax.
Yeah, back then it took me 6 months of applying to minimum wage jobs every day to finally get a job at McDonald’s.
Yeah, plenty of women are shit people and abusers as well. Sucks that it isn’t typically taken seriously by society.
(I’m not one of those men’s-rights people. The reason abused men aren’t taken seriously is because of harmful gender expectations and toxic-masculinity).
I don’t think most regular Republican voters praise Russia, but many Republican politicians are anti-Ukraine aid, and support policies that could help Russia. I think these politicians are somehow influenced by Russia (money? kompromat? just simply knowing Russia has effective disinformation and conspiracy theory networks?).
Nah, Java is alright. All the old complicated “enterprise” community and frameworks gave it a bad reputation. It was designed to be an easier, less bloated C++ (in terms of features/programming paradigms). It’s also executed fairly efficiently. Last time I checked, the same program written in C would typically take 2x the time to complete in Java; whereas it would take 200x the time to complete in Python. Here’s some recent benchmarks: https://benchmarksgame-team.pages.debian.net/benchmarksgame/fastest/python3-java.html
I haven’t had a chance to try Rust yet, but want to. Interestingly, Rust scores poorly on source-code complexity: https://benchmarksgame-team.pages.debian.net/benchmarksgame/how-programs-are-measured.html#source-code
Doesn’t even have to be massive. In my area, I see a half acre lot listed for $500k. I’m not even in a particularly expensive area (kinda rural, but 20mi away from a somewhat expensive metro).
Xenophobia and racism, mostly. And yes, it’s a solution to the aging demographic crisis many countries face (at least in the medium-term).
I remember seeing a video of a presentation back in the Bush years by some neo-con group that advocated for immigration to Pentagon or DoD officials or something. The argument for immigration was mostly the same: we have an aging population, so we could integrate immigrants (who are statistically younger) to solve this issue. I didn’t agree much with the broader idea of the presentation though. The broader idea was that there were still some parts of the world not a part of the global U.S.-led hegemony (mostly the middle-east and Africa), and we must spread democracy and capitalism to them. The argument was that globalism/capitalism ensures peace, and that both WWI and WWII happened because globalism was falling apart shortly before those wars. So, to ensure world peace, we need to globalize the entire earth and bring all countries into the the U.S.-led hegemony, even if that means starting wars to spread democracy, lol.
